Tabletop is a set of games for two people (or two teams) sharing one device: Draw & Guess, Fleet Hunt, Air Hockey, Checkers, Four in a Row, and Dots and Boxes.

Which games work on my device?

iPhone Duo and iPad: all six games.
Other iPhones: Air Hockey, Checkers, Four in a Row, and Dots and Boxes. Draw & Guess and Fleet Hunt need a larger screen and show as “iPhone Duo & iPad” on the home screen. Phone-to-phone play for those games is planned for a future update.

How do I play on iPhone Duo?

Each game tells you how to hold the phone the first time you open it.

Lay it flat for Air Hockey, Checkers, Four in a Row, and Dots and Boxes: one player at each end, the crease is the middle of the table.
Draw & Guess: stand the phone up like a laptop to peek at your word (only you can see it), then open it flat and draw for everyone.
Fleet Hunt: place your fleet, then pass the phone. A full-screen “Pass to…” card keeps the other player’s board hidden until they tap.

If a game shows “Open your phone flat” or “Turn your phone upright,” change the pose and the game continues where it left off.

Common questions

The game paused when I closed the phone. That is intended. Draw & Guess pauses its clock when the phone closes and resumes when you open it. Other games wait for you to open it flat.

Can I turn off sounds or vibration? Yes, in a future update there will be a settings screen; for now the phone’s silent switch mutes all game sounds.

Checkers lets me skip a capture. By default captures are optional (the piece that can capture glows orange as a hint). Turn on “Forced captures” on the Checkers setup screen for the tournament rule.

Can I rename the players? Yes, on each game’s setup screen. Names are remembered.

Does the app need the internet? No. Everything is on the device.
